Safari Badminton has been successfully running at Kimberley Leisure Centre (map) since January 2014. Safari Badminton welcomes all developing and enthusiastic players  and asks only that they want to enjoy playing with other like-minded people.

Each week at Safari Badminton there will be opportunities to play friends as well as new partners in all formats. Safari Badminton will help members develop gameplay and sportsmanship as well as technical ability through group and individual coaching. At Safari Badminton there is a culture of support and mutual growth in a safe environment.

Safari Badminton founder and co-ordinator, Steve Farey, has held a Badminton England coaching qualification (currently Level 2) for 18 years; for more information on Badminton England, please visit www.BadmintonEngland.co.uk. Since picking up a racquet at the age of 7, Steve has been actively involved in the local badminton community at both junior and senior levels. Playing both for fun and competitively with several different clubs in the local area, not only is Steve an experienced coach, he also has plenty of on court experience and understands individual players’ development needs.
