6 Week Safari is a series of courses designed for beginners and developing adult players. Sessions run for 6 consecutive weeks with each session focusing on one or two particular aspects of technique, game play and tactics. Sessions are attended by 4 or 8 players and a coach, and last for one hour. 6 Week Safari courses cost between £25 and £60 per person per course (refer to table below). If you’ve never even picked up a racket and would like to get involved in playing badminton, please contact Safari Badminton to discuss different ways to begin playing.

Courses delivered at Kimberley Leisure Centre will be organised and administered by Safari Badminton. Clients choosing to have a course delivered at a location of their choice will need to book and pay for courts.

6 Week Safari: Beginners

This beginners’ course is for people who:

• Enjoy playing social games of badminton
• Possess basic racket skills and can play a short rally
• Have an interest in developing their knowledge and execution of shots
• Would like to develop their general understanding of the game

6 Week Safari: Intermediate

This intermediate course is for people who:

• Already play badminton socially and have an interest in competitive play
• Posses good racket skills, shot repertoire and some knowledge of tactics
• Have an interest in fine-tuning specific elements of their game and technical skills
• Want to develop a winning edge by using their skills to maximum effect

6 Week Safari: Tactics

Coming soon! This tactical course is for people who:

• Have plenty of experience playing socially or play competitively for a club
• Are already confident with their racket skills, shot repertoire and movement skills
• Would like to develop and refine winning strategies for use in their games
